We start by giving you simple guidelines...
Clean & Crisp
Light Beers are like warm, sunny days...easygoing and super refreshing.
Bold & Bitter (sometimes)
Hoppy Beers have great big, sometimes bitter, flavors. How bitter? The higher the IBU (International Bitterness Units) the more bitter the beer.
Sweet & Toasty
Malty Beers feature malt that has been roasted longer, resulting in more color and flavor intensity. Bitter hops are subdued; sweet, bready flavors shine.
Rich & Roasty
Dark Beers have deep, dark flavors like chocolate, coffee, and deep-roasted malt.
Fruity & Spicy
Fruity & Spicy Beers are subtle and complex, with one declared ingredient like berry, grapefruit, cinnamon or allspice noticeably layered over a specific base style.
Sour & Funky
Sour & Funky Beers feature flavors like tart cherry, green apple, and barnyard. A throwback to the earliest days of fermenting when wild yeast strains would infiltrate open-container brewing systems, these Old-World flavors are experiencing a modern-day Renaissance.
