Sesame Glazed Salmon & Heavy Seas Beer TropiCannon

The citrus notes in the TropiCannon complements the sesame & soy giving the salmon a ponzu-style flavor. The IPA also has a bitterness to it which offsets the sweetness from the sesame glaze and carrot purée.

James has been with us just over 1 year and we truly appreciate all he does at our Gahanna location.

Let’s get to know him!

Chef James’ favorite 101 dish is the Housemade Shrimp & Grits, he loves the rustic style & robust flavor profile. When James isn’t running the kitchen in Gahanna he enjoys photography, being at the gym and spending time outdoors. Fun fact, James has never lived in 1 place more than 5 years…let’s do our best to make Columbus the exception!

This smooth kolsch is a versatile beer to pair with food due to its complex yet delicate flavors & aromas. The slight bitterness from the German noble hops is a welcome offset to the spicy Creole flavors and the bright acidity in the pasta’s sauce.

When asked his favorite 101 dish he didn’t want to pick because it’s like choosing a favorite child, after some pressure he decided on the Tuna Avocado Toast. In his free time he enjoys thrifting for vinyl records, cooking for his family, and our favorite – trying to catch his cats at the perfect moment to make the best cat video on YouTube! We’ll be watching for his viral video.
